strengthening the integration and interconnection between its member countries in order to create a single system that coordinates all economic, social and cultural policies, including Industrial Property legislation.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of this intention, the Patent Office of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf was created to unify the criteria for processing patents from filing to grant.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Countries adhered to the Gulf Cooperation Council Patent Treaty<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The following 6 countries currently belong to this treaty<b>: Bahrain, Kuwait, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Characteristics of patents in the Gulf Cooperation Council:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A\u00a0<b>single application<\/b>\u00a0is valid for prosecution in all 6 member countries.<\/li>\n<li>No country designation is therefore required, which reduces costs.<\/li>\n<li>It is processed in a<strong> single
