A trade name is a title granting the exclusive right to use any sign or name as a company identifier in commercial transactions.
As titles of industrial property, trade names are independent from the names of the entities registered in the Companies Registers and must therefore be registered separately. The protection period of trade names is ten years from the application filing date and they can be renewed indefinitely for 10-year periods.
